UK Batteries Opens New Glasgow Depot
UK Batteries has further strengthened its position as a leading supplier of battery products in Scotland by opening a brand-new distribution depot in Glasgow.
The decision to invest in a dedicated site in Scotland has been driven by UK Batteries’ desire to give its customers easy access to its market-leading battery brands that include the Platinum, Oldham, Crompton, and Tungstone names.
With the addition of Glasgow to its distribution network, UK Batteries now has 7 depots in the UK – giving excellent geographical coverage for customers.
“By opening a new depot in Glasgow, we will be able to give our ever-expanding customer base in Scotland an even stronger overall service package,” UK Batteries’ marketing and communications director, Neil Warren, explained.
“We have invested in our own dedicated fleet of vehicles and drivers to service our customers in the region. This means we can offer a more frequent delivery service, attend to our customers’ needs on site and it will also be much easier for us to collect scrap batteries for our very successful lead recycling programme.
“This is another positive step in the development of UK Batteries and illustrates our commitment to making sure our customers receive only the best products and service – two elements that are vital to the success of their own businesses.”
UK Batteries marked the official opening of its new distribution depot in Glasgow by treating some of its Scottish customers to a golf day at the exclusive St Andrews course – the venue for the 2010 Open Championship.
